    The reason you can't get exp was probably to fix an 'exploit' of sorts in 1.x, you could do the chocobo supply quest in a combat job then right before it ended switch to a crafting or gathering class and get massive exp for example. But seeing as how we can't really join the fate, it would make sense that the fate would ignore us.

    i like this, it messes with bots that can't make their own decisions

    also at gathering spots arnt there usually 4-5 points and you can choose to rotate 3 of them? i normally gather at 1 spot, then 2 more then the 1st one re-pops?

    doesnt a gather take like 4 seconds, how often were they aoe'ing? :/

    Someone clearly hasn't reached level 50 and understands how unspoiled nodes work.

    Really? I mean really? I reaaallly hope SE does not listen to this BS. As a gatherer you are in the OPEN world with mobs AND FATES, it is part of the landscape and part of being a gatherer. If a fate happens to spawn on an unspoiled node, tough sh*t, you move on to the next one. Its part of the world we play in. We get stealth and sprint to help deal with other aggressive situations. Fates popping on an unspoiled node is crap luck and rage quitting because of it is asinine. It’s already boring enough as it is, wanting it to be even more care bear is just plain wrong.

    ...except that the node for crawler cocoons spawns once per hour in the same spot every time hur dur you're so smart!

    It would be nice for FATE mobs to not effect gatherer's. I was trying to fish at the goblin pond, and during the gob fate, people would run over to me and have the gobs drop bombs on me -.- it was frustrating...
