unfortunately i play on ps3 so i have no way of parsing my dps. and on the first occasion i didnt ask for the numbers. but on the second occasion i think the warrior was doing 150 dps and i was told i was doing less than that. but like i said, not to cop out, but i think it was because during the entire fight against titan that warrior did not move away from titan, hence he was constantly dps'ing. me on the other hand, had to constantly dodge his attacks, not to mention that my rotation gets constantly interrupted.

TL;DR - There is no worth a shit parser. They are all in an "early alpha" state at best for SMN and ~Beta for everything else.

yeah, that will hurt your DPS, as well as titan is a jerk for turning at the last moment and making you repeat your HTs and IDs. 150 is pretty low for that fight still though, the friend i mention is usually in the 160-180 range on titan (he is hurt less by turns than i am). A big part of melee dps on a boss like that though is uptime. landing as many hits as possible while dodging (i'd fear on a PS3 it would be harder to perform your rotation without letting your GCD sit idle for even a moment while dodging everything)

150 is rather good for a DPSing tank.

180 sustained sounds unlikely unless the DPS tank has a full DPS setup -- 30 str, HQ crafted DPS gear, etc. Possibly MRD class not WAR job.

MRD/WARs have oddball parses because they have pretty extreme cooldowns, but peter off when the cooldowns are down. If the parse ends right after they use cooldowns, it can spike up pretty hard even in mid-length fights.

    Edit:

Normal "tanking tank" DPS is in the 65-90 range depending on the situation. I've parsed DRGs in the 70-80 range. But if you're doing progression Titan (e.g. you have pre-Titan gear) and you're pulling 140, that's better than most of the playerbase.

It was storm, youve talked to him before (in skype back in tera days). He is, at any point in time, likely to be wearing as much dps gear as tank gear if not more. the 180 was solid attempts (30% wipes and such). If you just measure his burst as a marauder its crazy (like 350-400ish) but as a war he still holds about 230 as a war with probably BiS pre coil gear on a dummy 3m parse (not titan).

i agree 140 is more than enough to be fighting titan as a dps progressing through it. I really dont see 70-80 dps as a dpser as "pulling your weight" on that fight.

edit: forgot he never got his +1, so just regular relic

I find the newest logrep the most accurate and easiest to manage parser. It also is far superior for any real post fight analysis. Not to mention the alarms feature.

My problem with logrep is that I always forget to start and stop events every single fight.

Edit: Oh yeah, and the way it adds up DPS (and even the way it accounts for time in combat on different targets) is completely faulty and flat-out wrong. Really annoying. Can only use the total damage numbers to compare within the same event -- and then you have to reverse engineer a fight duration and manually calculate your DPS so you can compare it with other fights. The best part is there isn't a precise total event duration (the label at the top rounds/truncates to the nearest minute), so you can't even reverse engineer and manually calculate the DPS accurately.

    Annoying.

Oh that guy. Nifty. Still surprised he pulled that much without aggroing the boss .

Because of the way the combat log works (ability on one line, damage on others), the only way we're ever going to get an accurate parse is if each person in the group is running a parse and has their battle log set to "self only" and then the parser devs give us the ability to sync the data between party members.

That or if Sq-enix makes changes to the Combat log to show player name/ability/damage all on one line.
