Thread: Error 2002

Has anyone else been getting 2002 Error for the Ps3/PSN? My bf has been getting this like mad...and honestly it is pissing us both off to no end.
SE, please fix this problem. I could give two shits about the Ps4 release for when you will fix this...it should be fixed by now. You know, to: 'keep your customers happy' approach.

Please tell me, that you plan to fix this sooner than the PS4 release.

FYI - Error 2002 is Server Congestion.
Don't get me wrong, I am overly thrilled of recent maintenances to fix things...but in those maintenances, couldn't you at least fix this small problem too while you're doing other fixes?

I've been getting this intermittently since the game launched, and the last few days have been especially bad. Tried logging in over 100 times yesterday and it never worked, finally got in today at like 8am but I was kicked by a 90k error and now am just getting error 2002. I've had so many network issues with this game (only) that when I do get on I'm forced to do marathon game sessions because I don't know when the next time I'll be able to log in is. If I can't log back in tonight I won't be able to hit my myth cap either. I really hate how SE hasn't acknowledged this issue, and they aren't going to. White knights who don't really know anything about how data packets are transmitted who all claim to be network admins are going to come in here and tell you that the issue is with your ISP, or packet loss en route to the server. It's bologna, the issue is with how SE's server prioritizes QoS when congestion is high. Some users get the shaft. They should have spent more money on their servers, put them in better and more locations, and tested the US servers in beta. Instead, all of their NA/EU servers are in one spot in Canada running on commodore 64s that have ancient wiring.
