As smn, u can be 15/15 untill coil turn 4. As sch u might need it a bit earlier, but as long as u have full dl u should be able to clear t1/t2.

I am actually grinding out those 10,000 seals right now. I feel like I poured all my points into VIT and PIE, both useful, but considering I never play SMN, and and as much HP as most equally leveled tanks (what???) and aetherflow, I really need those MND points.

Honestly what's even the point of stats allocation? It used to make sense (sort of) in early 1.0 when it was shared between all classes and the whole stat system was more complex, but as of right now it's so flat that there's really no reason to not dump all of your points in the main stat, except for wars and plds maybe, but still most of them just go for full VIT. The only class affected by the system at all is ARC and the result is just choosing to gimp one job or another.
So the real issue imho is with the stat system itself, either it becomes a bit more elaborate so that you have to think carefully where to put your stats for every class or there's really no point in having a stat allocation system.

Im leveling an alt for the sole purpose of being able too stat int on my arcanist since sch is my main on my main character. Also this enables me to get mythology for two jobs at once.
Yea would be nice to get everything on one character but then why would they do that and discourage people from paying the 15$ subscription fee ? How dare those darn businesses try to earn money ...
Because even now people suffer from altitis. I, myself have two other characters so I can experience the LL and Gridania stories.Im leveling an alt for the sole purpose of being able too stat int on my arcanist since sch is my main on my main character. No more cast bars for Bard! Thank you, Yoshi-P! All hail our lord and savior!
For better or worse, that was not the philosophy. In one of the developer interviews, Yoshi-P stated that the split in advanced jobs was a 1 way street and you wouldn't be able to make a character that could switch back and forth between SCH and SMN effectively. I'll find the link to the interview and post it later.
