I think you are all bashing Slate for no good reason.
First he's a lalafell. <3
Second the 20% decrease in healing isn't very noticeable. And swapping INT and MND may overlap the 20% problem. He makes a valid point.... perhaps the cleric stance 20% decrease allows arcanist to fully go into int and switch to MND without being OP? I don't know. I am not a number crunching type of guy.
My point is, don't bash people for doing nothing wrong or mean.
Edit: This was not in response to people with constructive feedback or opinions.

I don't think anybody is bashing on him, I'm just saying using a skill that reduces your healing by 20% to help heal seems counter productive.I think you are all bashing Slate for no good reason.

once you get past leveling all scholar gear only has mind and no intellect at all so using cleric stance would drop your mind by 100+ on top of the healing debuff. If that's not noticeable your doing something very strangely.I think you are all bashing Slate for no good reason.

I'm not just outright calling him bad but cleric stance is really detrimental for healing unless your group is so overgeared for content your spending most of your time attacking anyways.
Really the only time it was a healing boost was on mages that had so much int they could turn it on and get ~500 heals vs ~300 but they took that away from damage mages before beta 4
and during leveling your stats should be close enough that the -20% healing would be much larger than any stat difference could account for

Ah this is true. I didn't account for end game SCH gear. Most leveling gear will have more int. I personally spread my stats. I think the stats are not as big of a deal as some people make them out to be.once you get past leveling all scholar gear only has mind and no intellect at all so using cleric stance would drop your mind by 100+ on top of the healing debuff. I think conventional wisdom is that SCH benefits from the MND more than SMN benefits from the INT. But you should probably specialize for each class.
You can easily change it with 10000 seals, anyway.

I am actually grinding out those 10,000 seals right now. I feel like I poured all my points into VIT and PIE, both useful, but considering I never play SMN, and and as much HP as most equally leveled tanks (what???) and aetherflow, I really need those MND points.

dont feel like im getting bashed. would like to know if using it is worth it. Since I mained summoner though, i maxed int for damage. I just figured flipping the stats would help as far as getting more mind.

It's not just the -20% healing unless your wearing your Summoner INT gear on your Scholar your switching a Lower INT for MND because Summoner Gear Boost your INT stat more than MND in the 1st place. so It's Really not helpful at all. Cleric Stance is very much made to be used for Healing classes to get a few good Hits in and Switch back.
