I've gotten several pieces of clothing from WP and AK, so I'm thinking maybe I should focus on DL jewelry before I start replacing these items. Is there a specific order most people buy their DL gear?
Thanks.

Personally, I think it depends on what upgrade gives you the biggest overall stat increase.
Assume you have AF gear, WP gear, HQ 48 accessories, and AK gear. I would upgrade in this order:
1. Replace AF gear with darklight gear
2. Replace WP gear with darklight gear
3. Replace accessories with darklight accessories
4. Replace AK gear with darklight gear
The only exception to this is that some people prefer to upgrade their body gear before their accessories and vice-versa. Upgrading body gear first could be beneficial for ranged DPS and healers because they have lower health and defense.
I think you get a slightly stronger DPS/HPS boost from accessories first, but as noted from above, you get more Vitality and Defense/MDF from upgrading your body.
If you can afford it, I'd recommend the Vanya chest piece + hat eventually. It will make it much easier to upgrade if you get some Allagan pieces, or decide to buy your chest or hat with mythology tomes.
What is Vanya? And by Allagan pieces, do you mean those "bags" that you can sell for gil? I've been selling them. They aren't used for something else are they? :/I think you get a slightly stronger DPS/HPS boost from accessories first, but as noted from above, you get more Vitality and Defense/MDF from upgrading your body.

Vanya is the iLv70 gear that (when HQd) is comparible to Darklight. With melds, it can exceed Darklight.
By Allagan pieces, they are referring to the iLv90 gear that drops in Bahamut's Coil (all of the items have "Allagan" as the first word in the item name). The bags you're referring to have no use other than to be sold for gil.
