I can see the threads popping up if they implemented this:
"OMG SE, 1 hour in df? what the f? I only have 200 players blacklisted."

O i know both sides of the coin are there.
My personal way of implementing it would be to just default not allow ME to join a group if someone in my Blist is in it. Not the other way around. Sure it may increase my wait times, but it also decreases the number of failed instances from trolls/afkers, which to me is worth it. If people choose not to blist said person, and they dont mind randomly getting grouped with an afker, that is their call and they are welcome to keep joining fasters parties that have a handicap.
Never gonna happen, but nice thought.

Why is it that when someone suggests something like this a whole other group of people chime in with 'great I can blist ppl without x lvl of gear' and try to make that a legit reason for not adding something like the op's idea or a vote to kick function. As far as gear goes, ppl will gear up as time goes on. But most people would only use these systems for their intended purposes. Yes you do have the 3% or so of ppl who will use such systems in a way that was not intended, but the benefits gained by adding systems like this and vote to kick far outweigh the problems.

This seems like a much safer system for players, despite the increase in DF wait times. It get's my vote of approval!
But consider this, people who ONLY want to fly through dungeons to get their tombstones will get like minded people. People who are newer or don't mind teaching will get like minded people. Trolls will be punished for abusing other players. Why is it that when someone suggests something like this a whole other group of people chime in with 'great I can blist ppl without x lvl of gear' and try to make that a legit reason for not adding something like the op's idea or a vote to kick function. It's not a perfect system, but it's certainly an improvement!

I have stopped doing CM or Praetorium runs because of these people. WP takes as long without speed running it and everybody has to play.
Usually when there is a CM or Prae AFKer I tell everybody I'm going to drop and that they should too.

Because counter opinions deserve to be heard on any subject. However, since SE is implementing minimum gear requirements to df, that particular argument is moot. Why is it that when someone suggests something like this a whole other group of people chime in with 'great I can blist ppl without x lvl of gear' and try to make that a legit reason for not adding something like the op's idea or a vote to kick function. A "Vote Kick" wouldn't be effective anyway, since there isn't enough time allowed to replace a member anyway. Especially if the unruly member was a tank.
But a black list option for the duty finder sounds reasonable to me. So this idea has my support.

How is the fact that a gear check will be inplace rendering the argument moot? You don't need a single price of end game gear to run CM or praetorum for AK and WP sure that may work somewhat until you get some guy who /sit and goes to dinner while you run the dungeon without him or eat a 15 minute penalty.

I like this idea as well, but I disagree on the lack of effectiveness of vote to kick. If nothing else you can at least prevent afk ppl from getting tomes in cm and the like and finish it with 7 ppl
