What's the BiS gear that could be used by all the DoH classes?

I worked out all the numbers it is possible using Aphraell method, none of the other work, you can't hit the min craft/control/CP even with food.

But there is almost no leeway. You have to stat cap everything that is possible to stat cap. There are 2 items you can't cap.
That leaves you with the
HQ Patrician's Coatee
14 Craftsmanship / 5 Control / 3 CP
You need to cap Craftsmanship and Control takes 5 slots
and your
HQ Offhand
19 Craftsmanship / 11 Control / 3 CP
need at least 9 Control(3 slots), 2 CP (1 slot), 5 craftsmanship (1 slot)

Final total is either Craft 347 Control 340 CP 318 or Craft 348 Control 342 CP 319(if you decided to go for max points in each slot melded in 2nd hand)

Then you need to use a HQ Bouillabaisse to get the required CP total.

Also HQ Dodore Doublet has same base stats as Coatee but 3 Materia slots instead of 2. If the stats caps are similar might be a better top, since 5 melds will have higher % of success. But other than someone saying the Craftsmanship caps at 14, caps are unknown.

Your CP numbers are waaaaaaay off, Highlanderx. I'm using a Patrician's set and I've got 342CP without food.


That was taken a couple days ago. Right now I'm 331 Control working on the last couple overmelds needed to hit the Control for Aphraell's method.

However, you're right that there's not a lot of leeway. Basically every piece I've got is capped in Craft, Control and CP. The few that aren't capped in all three are capped in two of the stats, and only 1 or 2 melds away from being capped in the last stat.

Just something that stood out to me when I was reading this. You counted the 26 Control from the Raptorskin Merchant Purse when you were calculating the base CP you get from equips. Base CP from equips is actually 124.

Found confirmation that HQ Dodore Doublet has the same stat caps and stats as HQ Patrician's Coatee. Since it has one more Materia. It will be easier to meld 5 times.

I have finished my whole patrician set with the belt and all the top accessories. I have to say some pieces just didn't want to meld right, but overall I'm pretty happy with it (doing that for 5-6 sets would be nightmare lol).

Been studying this page and Aphrael's link. You state that you get 342 CP and you only need 7 more CP for a total of 349. Aphrael's link says you are required 373 CP w/ food. It looks like at some point Aphrael's link was not based on an observe for 14 CP so at one point it may have been 359 CP requirement. So if it requires 373 CP to use Aphrael's link can that still be achieved with the HQ patrician's set? I ask because I'm going to try this route and do 1 set of gear instead of 8. Thanks for any tips.

I don't think u can do hap's macro with this setup. 342 +4 (last offhand slot) +classes 26 (best food) = 372 and u need 373. What am I missing? Is this doable? What did u conclude.

Actually, HQ Bouillabaise gives you the most CP. +13% CP, up to a maximum of 43 points. If I'm reading your post right, 346*1.13=390 CP, but because the capped bonus is 43, you'll be sitting at 389 CP. Thus you should have more than enough CP to do Aphrael's macro.
