Ah that's weird. I also use Alt and Ctrl together with M4 and M5 but never encounter any problems. I use a Logitech G9x though.

Do you have Razer Synapse installed?

I do have the synapse installed. I can't say that I can make heads or tails of it and I really want to thank you for the attention to my problem.

I just bought a Logitech G300 to try to get more out of my mouse buttons with less clicking alt and ctrl on the keyboard. But I'm having trouble getting the hotkeys bound to the mouse buttons as the game isn't recognizing anything beyond M4 and M5 I'm just giving up and putting up with the old mouse at the point and dealing with those frantic minimizes when they happen.
