    Unable to Update NA/EU Server List

    Hello,

    I managed to sneak in a free server transfer right before the cut off time. I received a confirmation by email saying that I would get the server transfer. That was 2-3 days ago and my character is still appearing on the old server. I attempted to log in twice just to see if the site was out of date and it won't even pull up the NA server list in-game.

    I tried this yesterday and today and neither time the server list pulled up for me. My hope is that my character is just still in the process of transferring, but nothing on the account management site says that it is in process. My fear is that my character is now in a continuous server limbo.

    I transferred from Leviathan to Midgardsormr. Any advice?

    SE warned to not attempt logging in until you receive the second email that the tranfer has been completed, and you did the exact opposite. It might take longer now. Send a support ticket.

    Maybe I did screw up, but the first email you get for a transfer makes things very unclear. It hinted that you would be able to check status of your transfer from the service history page in account management. Since there is nothing on that page regarding a transfer at all, that's when I decided to log in. I thought that since it wasn't showing up on that page that maybe the transfer didn't work at all.

    If I don't see another email for a day or so, I'll send in a ticket and see what's going on.

    It has officially been a week since I requested the transfer and four days since I submitted a ticket. No response whatsoever on the ticket and my character is still in limbo. Waited on the phone for over an hour to speak with someone before I gave up.

    I am generally not one to complain about customer service (because I work in it myself), but this is getting very irritating, especially considering I've wasted a week's work of game time without being able to log in on the NA servers.

    I really hope they fix my issue or, at the very least, respond to my inquiry soon or I may cancel and never look back. I'd really rather the issue be fixed, however.

    Several more days have passed and still no response. I've sent a total of 3 emails over the past week and a half and none have been answered. I've also stayed on hold on the phone support for 45+ minutes twice with no response.

    What makes this bad is that I can't log in to ANY North American Server. At this point I'd rather delete my character and start over, if it would mean I could play again.

    The quality of customer service here is an absolute disgrace and I just hope that other people don't have to deal with the same issues I have.

    Sorry you're having issues. SE customer service is and always has been awful. You could call their NA headquarters and bother them about it. I'm sure they'd be thrilled to hear about how long you've been trying to resolve this issue. They'll likely tell you to contact support at which point I'd tell them I'd been trying to contact customer support for weeks. If they told you there was nothing they could do, I would call back everyday until they were completely sick of hearing from me.

    That's a Cali number so they should still be open.

    ewe... the transfer guidelines have some specific disclaimer lanquage that may be biting you in the butt now:
    * Regarding Login Restrictions During the Transfer Process
    Once you begin the World transfer process, you cannot create new characters or log into the game until the transfer is complete.

    Characters will be transferred in the order applications were submitted. Furthermore, additional time may be required for all transfers to complete. A notification will be sent to the e-mail address registered to your Square Enix account when the transfer is complete. Do not attempt to log in before receiving this notification, as doing so may cause an error in the transfer, prolonging the process.

    * Please check your e-mail filters to ensure e-mail from the domain name @account.square-enix.com is not sent to your junk mail folder.


    Step 2: Log into the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station
    Log into the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station with the Square Enix account containing characters you wish to be transferred. The status of your service account and available characters can be confirmed on the Account Services page.
    *Disclaimers
    *The World Transfer Service cannot be used when the Square Enix Account Management System, FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn, or the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Mog Station is undergoing maintenance.
    *With the introduction of the World Transfer Service, there may be cases where players are requested to transfer to other Worlds due to fluctuations in population. We may also consider the splitting or merger of Worlds. Because of this, there may be instances where players who have used the World Transfer Service are requested to move to a different World.     I learned a long time ago to always give SE a LOT of extra time for them to complete a process once they commit to it. According to the guidelines, you may have exacerbated the already absurd delay with that game login attempt. Not sure how, as you didn't actually get into the game where you would have the chance to alter any data--but, they were concerned about something happening if you try to get in game before they are finished.

    Unfortunately, it's now Friday night... so unless you get in touch with someone in the next couple hours before they turn the lights off in California for the weekend, you may not be able to get anywhere with it for a couple days. Hate to even say it, but you might have to plan on sitting it out for the weekend and hope you have an email from them when you come home Monday night.

    Thanks for the replies. I gave the cali number a shot and they did not help me either. All they said was that "Monday, Tuesday, and Friday are supports busiest days and to keep trying back".

    I finally received email responses, and they said that my issue would have to be dealt with by phone or chat support. I managed to talk to someone via chat and all they said was that my transfer was "still in process" and they could not give me an ETA whatsoever as to when it might be completed. I really find it hard to believe that they can't give me some sort of rough estimate, especially considering I've been waiting for 2-1/2 weeks at this point already.

    So it seems to me like my only choice is to continue wasting game time in hopes of them EVENTUALLY completing my transfer. I really hope the transfer completes soon.
