BLM and WHMs are the only AOE DPS that DPS harder than a Dragoon.

Dragoons simply can't sustain it over long durations.

Learning how to efficiently AOE DPS is important to Dragoon-ing in general.

I've been feeling pretty useless as a Dragoon lately too.. Being excluded from WP/AK runs because people prefer BRD & BLM it sucks, I honestly believe some of our abilities need a buff. We need jumps that deal crits like a BLM flare.. That's crazy.

Pretty much this. Our AoE is actually pretty good until we run out of TP, but between Dragonfire Dive and RoTs our AoE is fine for short AoE phases like in T4 Coil.

WP has short AOE phases too, unless the players are bad.

if you have internal release and blood for blood up pop them and doompsike.

if you dont use HT and ROT

I have been in speed run groups as PLD and as DRG with 2 well geared dragoons and as long as they know how their AOEs work they can burn down mobs very quickly. Additionally, make sure that you dont burn all your TP after invigorate because DRGs are great finishers a full thrust combo can finish off 3 mobs quite efficiently by which time your TP should be back for another DS or ROT
