So I logged in shortly before maintenance to a question being asked by someone about the Jobs you can obtain and if it was easier to level as a job rather than a class.
Someone responded that "Soul Stones give stat boosts" It may be the lack of sleep or the fact that I just logged into this character today after a long absence but I replied that they don't give any Stat boosts.
My line of thinking was that this person was saying that there were stat bonuses on the Soul Stone item itself and I was trying to correct them. Such as when you mouse over a piece of equipment and there are stats scripted on the data box.
Well apparently everyone else didn't misunderstand and I was the odd one out.
I'm aware that when you equip a soul stone you "GAIN" stat bonuses. That the stats are not listed on the item itself. From the way they typed it it seemed like they thought there were actually visible stats on the item. And then I became a target of being attacked by several people and ridiculed for my misunderstanding even when I tried to explain it.
I won't name any names to respect the players, even though they showed no respect to me.
This is a very similar attitude that was displayed in that Viral thread over on the WoW forums, in how I was being made fun of for misunderstanding someones statement and being degraded thinking I don't know anything. When will this stop? Why do people see it fit to target one person for a misunderstanding and attack them for it.
