Because the game was designed from scratch within 2yrs? Name another game with that kind of turn around. FF has never been a big PvP game. Not in 11, and wasn't in 14 1.0. I love PvP, but it isn't the reason I came to this game. Also, WoW has had a shitty PvP setup since it's inception. DAoC or bust IMO. Maybe AC2 or WAR Online.

We don't have many years of PvE content. We have a narrow end game with 2 dungeons, some primal bosses and a hardcore raid. Taking this long to get PvP is clearly hurting the game.
LMAO. Do you have any idea how hard it is to develop a balanced PVP system? - not to mention a FUN PVP system...Lag. Pre-mades only. And it's the equivalent of a hard-mode raid.
Even WoW has recognized the predominance of casual raids with LFR and Flex. Square copied a lot from WoW and they should copy the more recent innovations too.
As for PvP, I think it's self-evident how cost-efficient PvP content is. Design a map and voila, endless content vs constant effort for new PvE grind.

If PvP is what kills this game, it'll be a first in PvE centric game history. If you honestly came to FF14 for PvP then you're in the wrong game. If you knew anything about the game prior to your arrival you'd have known it wasn't a focus to get out first but in 2.1.
It's less hard than constantly developing new raids or dungeons, for sure.
Or fine, even if you hate PvP, then there still needs to be a broader PvE end game, along the lines of Flex raids.

Guys are pugging 1-4 on my server 4 and 5 being the ones that a static would be needed but even then given enough time people will be pugging turn 5
