It's kind of astounding. Or that they think this endless grind end-game is a substitute for actual raids.
even single player games don't release finished these days and often you have to pay extra to get an actually 'worthwhile' game (and in other cases the DLC is 10€ and gives you 20 minutes actual playtime. I'm looking at you, Fable III)

the good old 'in this day and age' argument is frankly even more annoying than the general 'oh boohoo there's nothing to do' whining that really just means 'there's nothing to do I like. developers need to cater to my specific needs because I'm more important'

ps: I can't wait for people to be disappointed by TESO, then glorifying Wildstar like there's no tomorrow, eventually putting all their hope into EQN and then move on to the next big thing.
(is ArchAge still going on? I feel another Spellborn coming... I miss Spellborn :/)

    We don't 'NEED' PvP.
What is 'hardcore' for one is not 'hardcore' for another.
No one even knows what 'HardCore' is (is it repeating the same thing a gazillion times, or content so challenging that to beat it once would take every ounce of skill (not gear) you have, and there is no 'need' to do it a second time).

The REAL discussion is not hardcore/casual/blah, the real discussion is:
Do you find enough stuff to do in game right or or in the near future to make your stay here a pleasant one.

Some might want: OOOH SUper douper gear if I repeat this dungeon only 1.5x10^30 time.. I'm hard core.
Some want a garden to play in.

Neither is right nor wrong. Each to their own, and hopefully enough made happy to keep this world alive.

    Now, how about a hard-core-crystal-raising-garden?!

I vote that we just refer to things as Hardcore and Softcore.
    What about Mediumcore?

OP, are you trolling or are you actually this naive? Are you really saying newer games should release with more content because it's 2013 now? Like all of a sudden in 2013 developing games doesn't cost money? Like it doesn't take hundreds of man hours from story writers to texture artists to musicians to modelers to animators to make a game together in a seamless all encompassing world?

The game is two months old and you are complaining about lack of content. two months... Get real. WoW wasn't "polished" for years.

MMOs require casual raids and PvP in this day and age, and I'm afraid we're losing people every day because it's taking so long.

Coil hard core? maybe i guess considering there is no ilvl 80 gear in the game however i also feel that with a good group it isnt too tough, we have been at coil for all of 2 weeks, 2 times a week and 2-3 hours at a time, and with a total of lets say 12 hours max we have already gotten to turn 4 so i dont feel its very hard core, but then again i guess its a matter of perspective. one more month and CT comes out and once everyone have level 80 gear i dont think coil will seem so hard care. its very unfortunate that they did release the raid in a backwards order.

There is nothing in this game that requires hard core play. (Even coil) Anything in this game can be done by a casual player, it will just take longer to get to it.
