Please make putting up Party flags simpler.

A frequent problem I see in areas where popular FATEs are are people spamming the shout box with "lfg fate" "fate pt plz" "hey oh! fate pt need it right here!".

If all of these people would put up their party flag, a pt leader could get them in with just one to three clicks of the mouse or keyboard strokes and give the shout box some much needed breathing room.

But there are a few problems with this: One, many people don't even know about the party flag. Two, you have to drill down into the search menu just to find it let alone turn it on. Three, the keyboard command to put up the flag is "/lookingforparty" (...Really? All that for the pt flag?)


The solutions I propose are: Add an option to right clicking your character that turns on your flag with one click and an option for searching the area you are in for players with their flags up with one click.

This would streamline party assembling and free up some of the chat log spam. Agree? Disagree?

It makes it easier to find and invite people if they shout.
I really don't notice enough "LFM FATE" or "LFG FATE" shouts to consider them spam.

I agree that the party flagging should be a far more noticeable approach, but the shouting bit is fine. It's arguably GOOD to have a lot of that going on. It shows a lot of activity going on with the server. I'd honestly rather see a lot of that going on than just silence at this point of the game. If I want silence, I can just create a new tab or disable stuff on the current one.

I can respect that. I just figured people only use /shout because the party flag system is inferior. By the way, that lion GIF is adorable. Love it!

Add me to the list of people who never knew there was a flag. This post just taught me something new.

However, even knowing this, I'll continue with the normal channels of shouting. In the major FATE zones, it always gets me an invite within a few seconds of posting. It sounds like a lot of FATE party leaders are not even using the LFP system to find players.
