I must humbly disagree. I don't even have a FC, the one I do have is a warehouse that I made with a friend that serves the soul purpose of storing our items.

I do coil with my linkshell static. That's right, I said it, a LINKSHELL. This linkshell in particular started off as a titan mercenary shell that slowly evolved into a group of competent players capable of challenging the binding coil of bahamut. We started off with one core group of players that has since split into two groups so as to take in more of our linkshell members. Yes, the groups are semi static, however that does not mean players are being excluded as you implied. Our first group has been on Turn 5 for a few weeks now and our second group is getting close to beating turn 4. We are by no means hardcore, just a group of competent players brought together by the use of a linkshell. We play it by ear and do what we can based on player availability.

That being said, no one is holding you back other than yourself. Find yourself a linkshell, or better yet, make your own, composed of like minded players. Surely you will find enough competent player who do not have strict statics with their free companies. Of course, you will need to form a semi-static group of core players to challenge this content with. The coil requires players to act in synchronicity. This requires a high level of communication at first, and the patience to throw enough bodies at the fights that you may gain the experience to make it second nature. If you swap out one or two experienced members for players that have never done coil before you are likely to fail. This is why statics are in vogue. However, I have heard of many PUGs clearing turn 4, so it is deffinately possible granted the players all know their roles and are capable of executing them perfectly.
