I just want to point out that depending on the i5 it's either a dual core or quad and while the game is CPU intensive either one would suffice for the game. Your bottleneck was the 5450 which is essentially a dedicated video card with the same or less power than an integrated video card. The GPU architecture on board the FX A8 and A6s is more powerful than the 5450. Your CPU and RAM were fine for 1.0 from what you quoted. What you needed was a better video card. The GT450 he mentioned while not a 'great card' was the highest multimedia level video card by nVidia before switching to the higher end 60/70/80 gaming series.

If you want to compare benchmark scores on the video cards check www.videocardbenchmark.net. Your 5450 scores a 233 while his GT450 scores a 1538 (almost 8x more powerful). A lot of the pre-packaged computer brands will throw the 5450 or a card of the same caliber into a CPU just to say 'Hey look a video card! Games!' when in all reality you're just as well off with the integrated save for maybe the dedicated RAM (not the GPU rendering power).

    sad... dont you think?
    Limitations THIS EARLY

Releasing the game for the PS3 was A HUGE, HUGE mistake.

Nobody said that... we all said "Hey remember in FFXI when PS2 limited the game? Yea you think they would learn from the past" Uhhhhh doi!

We all knew FFXIV:ARR has a PS3 version at launch. We also knew that the ps3 has outdated hardware in comparison to modern day pc's. If anyone has a problem with that, please pick any other MMORPG and enjoy your ps3-free environment and stop bitching here. In the mean time, I am gonna enjoy my time with this multi-platform game.

Common sense infers that no, it does not.

PS3 users get no Focus function
PS3 users get limited simultaneous UI windows up at a time
PS3 users will not benefit from compatibility with 512kb textures or tesselation in the future.

    Conversely:

PC and PS4 users get Focus function
PC and PS4 users get numerous simultaneous UI windows up at a time, no ceiling has been indicated for either.
PC and PS4 users will benefit from compatibility with 512kb textures and tessellation in the future.

I am sure there are more examples.

It didn't help that the game's configuration (set separately outside the game) didn't even list them in the "video" tab, but under the Misc. tab where completely useless options like Cut-scene effects were kept.

They also didn't call many of the video configuration options by their actual "technical" names, so a lot of tinkering went into getting the correct settings down.
Simply selecting High, Standard or Low settings did not really change anything other than the anti-aliasing settings unlike now where it changes all of the settings.
    This was my answer.

This also says what I was going to say, lol.

So, you are saying that they should get rid of the PS3 version and also half the PC players and make it as unplayable as 1.0 was?

I think anyone that is so blind to think a game can't benefit from the extra support (money) the PS3 players bring in needs to stop using the internet. The more people playing means the better support and longevity an MMO will have. You can whine and cry all you want about it but do it to someone who cares. That means you secret club of HePCman WoPS3man Haters Club. The rest of us enjoy playing with people without care to what equipment they play on. An MMO is more about the social aspect of gaming more then how many machines it can break with it's graphics and mechanics. If there was no social aspect to this game (or any other MMO) they would just be single player games.

Current stuff up till whatever they have planned till 2.2 and 2.3 is fine and will work on the PS3.

However, if they added new contents which has more UI, PC can handle it fine without a problem but they have to make it work on the PS3 as well, if the PS3 version can't get the UI working due to the amount of memory already used up on the UI they can't do it, thus pulling PC version from also having that content since the PS3 can't do it.

BUT, they have enough room planned for the alliance UI so when some UI's are not being used on that specific content, they can use that memory space to bring in the new content UI, so all-in-all it's still possible. It's just going to be harder for the devs to decide to how to get the content and UI's working. Only PS3 pulling PC versions leg might be the part it's going to take that much longer to get anything new out, since they have to make sure it works on all platform. Once the PS4 comes to play that another workload for them also (which I assume is easier than PS3 vs PC workload).

Arguments like those are stupid. It's a multiplatform game; Therefore both platforms are limiting the experience for each other. This game isn't just a PC-Centric world.
This man (Or woman) speaks words of ugly truth.

we as beings on this earth are such contradicting and hypercritical beings. When you think on the other side of the coin, you see that both platforms are technically holding each back from something.
