Well, the PS3-Players give you PC guys and dolls a hard time when we lag our way to the quest boss and we also make you wait till we are able to abort the cutscenes. We might also be the reason why you won't get certain features.

On the other side, the PC compromises markets thanks to botters which you won't find on PS3. Both sides have arguments why playing together on two different platforms is not the best solution.

But keep in mind that it is something people have asked for since ages. "Why can't we play together? It is almost the same Game?". Now we see by own experience why it isn't the easiest thing to do. Live and let live is my motto regarding this issue. SE will hopefully learn and allow future developments for cross-playing on different platforms so in the end, we might benefit from this experiment.

How is this any different than back when FFXI was released on PS2, then PC? Were some of you shunning away the PS2 players as well like you're currently doing the PS3 players? The PS3 players (myself included) aren't going to have any impact on how you enjoy your game on PC, trust me.

Yes, PS3 players will have more obstacles to overcome, but... If they are anything like myself, they will want to upgrade to PS4 next year so they won't have to deal with as many problems.

This is not an experiment ... they did this with FFXI (ps2 + pc + xbox360).

    Stop trying to be reasonable!

I'm a PC user and wouldn't even dream of trying to play an MMO on a console, but more power to those that do play that way. As long as I'm not stuck with an interface that's clearly designed for a console instead of a PC (see Skyrim) it doesn't bother me a bit.
