Limitations THIS EARLY

Releasing the game for the PS3 was A HUGE, HUGE mistake.

FFXI still does and is capable of doing certain things FFXIV ARR does not - Remember that FFXI is a 2000 era PS2 game and FFXIV ARR was redesigned in 2012 on a significantly better platform (PC) and ported to a significantly better game console (PS3.)

It is not limiting the game.

It means low rez textures and animation that could be better. Hopefully the dx11 client ameliorates this and they phase out the ps3 version in favor of the ps4 version.

FFXI has varied animations per race and gender...PS2 game btw.
