What US Server is most populated?

Preferably EST.

I can't speak to all servers, but some decently populated ones I am or have been on are
　○ Adamantoise
　○ Behemoth
　○ Faerie
　○ Leviathan
　○ Midgardsormr

On the legacy side most are well populated, though I only know of Sargatanas first hand. Either way just note that while you can create characters or transfer to legacy servers, you cannot transfer from them to a non-legacy at this point in time.

If you are new and worried about leveling issues, I would look specifically for a group that can help you level, and is story friendly and make your decision based on that as opposed to the overall server itself.

The biggest problem I find for new characters right now is finding a group of new players, or new player friendly via duty finder, so knowing going in that there is a group that is friendly and have the people to help you out is probably a must.

On populated servers that have a lot of people you still have to know you have a good friendly group during the leveling process, because so many of the groups right now aren't interested in story, only on leveling for end game, or doing end-game.

Why do you want the most populated server anyway? That leads to issues with things like overcrowding and mass competition for mobs, and folks flocking to those servers also means others become underpopulated, with known issues. As it stands currently, I don't think you'll have an issue finding a free company to join and folks to run FATEs with (And those are the main two benefits of a population on a server) on any server, so just pick one at random.

Oh, and I believe all the NA/EU servers are PST actually. There's just the two data centers.

Actually some of the servers are already surprisingly underpopulated at certain times (or all the time comparatively), and can be fairly hard to find groups to run with. But like I said in my answer, I do think that having a good group is more important than the specific server overall. If you have a lot of people in a group, then even if the overall server is low population, it can still be a good place for you.

I agree on the population problems though, and I do think more people should spread out more, but I understand why they don't or are worried.

The timezone question is because of finding people to run with... I understand this. I had a character on a world that never had anyone running during hours I was on. I would literally find myself soloing most fates. I ultimately stopped logging in to that character.

I made the original post because when I log in to play, there are very few people playing, I can go an hour sometimes without seeing another player. Chat is virtually non existent, the game just feels dead to me on Brynhildr.

Hmm, I didn't think any servers had gotten that bad yet. Still, I think the proper solution is to try and move people towards Brynhildr, rather than help people move off of it. That only exacerbates the problem, and makes all the servers bad. I don't know if you were around at the time, but during early release the game was well nigh unplayable, since you could hardly log in due to the servers being full.

I don't wish for the game to become one where you have a choice between a server you can barely ever get on to, or one with literally nobody on.

Still, I would like to ask something else: Where is it that you're looking for other players?

Edit: After a little research, I've noticed your server has been up for only two months. I implore you stick it out, more people will join the server as time goes on.

Actually yes you are lucky. the older servers are full of people cramming the FATES and just pushing for the upper level stuff, and not having much fun at all. We are thinking of moving to a newer server, a partner and I because of this, we want to start a new player firendly FC and help others have fun...for this IS a game and a beautiful one. so hang in there and you will have friends soon. You can also post and ask for people to party with you and join you...that is always a possiblity too. But many of the older servers are very full. and lag in many busy areas.
