Also I seem to remember hearing that Yoshi is planning on removing daggers/knives from GLA/PLD and giving them to a new rouge/thief type class, but I haven't heard anything more about that, so take that with a grain of salt.

I wouldn't be surprised if eventually we got a dual-wielding class. Ninja seems to be one of the jobs that people keep asking for, so I'm sure its one of the jobs that SE eventually wants to add to the game.

I am looking forward to new classes and/or jobs to tackle. Another duel wield would be nice. Will be interesting to see if they can actually manage it this time around.
