Yeah, to get exp/gil/seals/ect... My point is that I grinded FATES too much and hit 50 before the main story line was done. So now I am at lvl49 main story with nowhere to dump the exp. You obviously can't level another job with main story line quests, so dungeons/FATES/leves come in handy there (at least not if the main story is complete).
I know there are "quests" to do between 47 and 49. But not "main story" quests.
You can. Your other job has to be at the level for the quest. That's the only requirements. I leveled warrior and monk at the same time so I switch them in and out.
Ever considered, you know, stopping with fates as soon as you were 49 and could take story again? Doing that extra level was only your decision, poor planning on your side.
First off, the fact that this was poor planning on my side is obvious.
Coming from FFXI, I figured I had another bar to fill. Back when I played (when lvl cap was 75 not 99/100 whatever it is now) you had a full exp bar after you hit max. So I figured it would be the same here. But my complaint is that once you hit 50, there is no pool for extra xp. I understand that the xp pool in XI was b/c u needed a buffer in case u died and XIV has eliminated the de-level headache. Even still, u can't tell me that they plan on leaving the level cap at 50 forever.
This is what I am currently working on. I have PLD to 40 and BTN to 30. Still a little way but I'll get there. ;-) At the time I hit 50 with my main job, my second highest job was CRP at 23.
Yeah I understand, I was used to a bar being filled after cap from some other games too. Maybe they decided they want you to gain absolutely nothing after cap, and not give you a level ready for when it's raised.
Anyway, some people just keep the leftover story quests for their second class, I personally think it's not such a waste even doing them at 50, if you enjoy the story. After all xp is not hard to come by in this game.
I would assume they purpotedly chose to stop lv 50 @ 0/562000 to avoid people to immediately progress once they raise the lv cap. kind of a fair start for everyone, i think /shrugFirst off, the fact that this was poor planning on my side is obvious.

Periods are cool.People are freaking out in those runs if it take you 3.2 seconds to do something that should of took 3.1 cause they are so sick of running it on endless loop I personally hate grinding far too much to bother once the patch come out they will make it much easier to get the gear I figure :/ sooo wtv I wont bother with bahamut for now I guess for me its just not enough interest to do the grinding required but some people like it and thats ok they can do it ^_^ If not getting exp bugs you that much you can always take a break and come back to the game later thats what I am doing
