need some help about the movement setting

actually, i'm not a new player..

but i do have a question to ask..

when u r using "Standard Type (character-based)" for the 'movement setting', how can we run backward? bcoz when i press 'S' to move backward, i just walk, not running.. i know we can run to the left and right while pressing the right click of the mouse.. but, only to run backward it is not possible..

however, if we r using "Legacy Type (camera-based)" for the 'movement setting', it is possible to run backward while pressing 'S'..

for two months of playing this game, I used 'Standard Type' for the movement setting.. i think i already get used with it.. BUT.. i encountered many problems when i need to dodge the attacked by running backward, bcoz when we r using 'Standard Type' for the movement setting, u will just walk slowly, not running backward..

then. i start to use 'Legacy Type' for the movement setting in order for me able running backward to dodge any attack. but, most of the time i still prefer to use 'Standard Type' for the movement setting.. then, i'll switch to 'Legacy Type' for the movement if i need to fight the main boss when i need to run backward to dodge the attack..

so, are there any people out the who know '"how to run backward when using 'Standard Type' for the movement setting?"

That is how you will need to do it with Standard, OP. You can actually turn pretty quickly with the mouse and I believe you can even change the speed your camera turns.

Honestly, this is the biggest reason why I recommend everyone use legacy controls.

Yeah, I also switched to Legacy settings for this reason and will never go back.

I have an issue with this

I started to acclimate myself to the legacy scheme for this very reason but hit a stumbling block - when autorunning forward, the camera snaps back to face the direction I'm running. I had this turned off in standard mode but can't fix it in legacy. It's just not something I can live with and I will have to forgo the legacy type because of it lol. anyone know if this can be changed like the standard controls?

I didn't know about legacy backward running so having read here I tried it today and I love it. Even more impressive is the way if I'm running back in the middle of a fight to get out of the red, as soon as I hit a skill key I about face to face the hostile again. Bril ! Thanks to OP for starting this thread
