    Levequest Restrictions

    Morning all,

In my opinion, Squenix should remove the need to have a War/Magic class at the same level as the class you want to get levequests for. For example, my Fisher is level 47 but my Paladin is 33, so I can't get any fishing leves above 30. It kinda ruins the whole 'you can level anything' theme that FFXIV has going on.

Making matters worse is the fact that my Fisher has unlocked all side-quests up to level 47 - but I can't complete them (or turn them in) because my Paladin isn't high enough. It just seems really odd that my Fisher now has access to combat quests but not relevant class levequests.

TL;DR: Land and hand classes should be able to unlock their own levequests.

    Any thoughts?

I agree. The amount of times I've had to change to a DoM class to unlock leve quests for my of the land/hand classes is stupid. I don't see the point in having the unlock quest at all, other than to make it hard on people who are more interested in crafting and gathering.

Yes! I could understand it if you needed a DoW class - i.e. if you had to fight your way to the gathering locations - but as you get the maximum stealth ability about level 40ish, you can avoid encounters completely.

My guess is a poorly conceived preventive measure against RMT.
