    PLD using INT?

    Yesterday I saw a PLD using AF2 + Coil Gear, but all his jewels were INT+Crit, I was wondering why he did this?

    Int change only magical spells and I think the only pure magical spell from PLD is Circle of Scorn and Flash.

    I asked to my friends, but they also doesnt have idea why he choose this build, idk, maybe a speed run build?

    Even Scorn and Flash are based on STR, weapon damage, and Determination. There's no reason I can think of for a PLD to gear for INT besides ignorance. . .

    Most likely they were SBing the jewels and aiming for caster materias. As far as I understand, SB completes faster if the item has any melds, so its possible he was doing it for that. I'd be curious what tier Crit Melds he was using, this would confirm suspicion.
