According to the Guidelines in Lodestone:

Furthermore, characters can only transfer 1 million gil, while retainers can only transfer 100 thousand gil. Please be aware that excess gil will be lost.
* Depending on economic conditions, the amount of gil that may be transferred with a character may be subject to change.

Does this apply to all players in all worlds (legacy and new)?

I am a legacy player thinking of moving to another legacy server but this gil restriction is really holding me back as I have way more gil than restricted amount.
