Problems with party members disappearing for Ps3 users

PS3 user here, I've never seen this happen to me outside of FATES.

I don't have any latency issues (I know I'm blessed or just lucky or something.) I was kind of scared of hearing about the latency issues some PS3 users were starting to have at endgame and was afraid I'd have them, thankfully only issue period I have on PS3 is trying to do FATES in prime time. But I have seen this happen to friends and other people I've partied with both on PC and PS3. It's like all of their actions get delayed, or they freeze and seem afk, or their characters act all glitchy.

This happened to me as a PS3 user in Beta, in Copperbell and Tam-Tara.
It also happens to me in CM.

As I also get very bad latency during peak times, and my only option is PS3 at this time, I am too scared to try Titan HM. Sometimes, even Wanderer's Palace has the tank stuck at the start for me, and I can never dodge the Goobbue's ranged attacks there, even though I clearly ran out of the way on my screen.

I play as WHM, so I have decided to continue working on crafts and solo play in the meantime, which is a little sad

yeah, I had the issue when I played on PS3 and as a healer, it IS a big issue
usually need to "return" once and that fixes it

My brother used to get this all the time on the PS3. Changed over to wired connection rather than wireless and it cleared it up for him. Worth trying a wired connection.

If I had the option to, I would. But with the modem in another room entirely, me not having the money for an ethernet cord long enough for that, as well as any attempt to get permission to do this with the other people I live with doomed to failure... yeah, that's not happening.

Even then, that's a lot of brouhaha for just this game, and that's if a wireless connection is the problem in the first place.

I hope it isn't, or this'll be a problem for some of people with wireless PS3s and PCs :/

It's not. I'm wired TWC high-speed and it's happened to me several times.

Had this happen earlier tonight while helping a FC member with dungeon. I couldn't see or select our Tank, thankfully I wasn't rolling a healer.
I assume it's a lag issue?

I tend to believe it is an error with the positional checks. It seems to happen when the party is standing still for too long or after cutscenes. It worries me because SE seems to be very hush hush about this issue. I have not seen them refer to or address this directly (correct me if I'm wrong.) It leads me to believe that this might be a permanent issue that cannot be resolved (thus they will not openly remark upon it.) It gets more and more disruptive as we progress into more difficult dungeons. I am dreading Titan HM or coil at this point...

PS3 user here, and I've found that this issue only happens after lag spikes. As others have described, enemy and player positions will be locked on my screen when they are, in actuality, still moving. You can actually check your party members positions on your map when they're stuck--most of the time their blue dots are still moving. As a ranged DPS, this isn't a problem for me, but when I'm tanking or healing...oh boy does it become a pain. Nothing's worse than having a patrol freeze and you aggro something you can't see and it begins wrecking your healer.

Used to run into this very frequently. As a healer, it is game breaking!
Fortunately, I haven't had it happen in around 2 weeks or so.
