PS3: Filtering targets accessed with R1 and L1

On the PS3, when a hotbar is toggled on, you change targets with R1 and L1, since the directional buttons normally used for this function now activate hotbar slots. However, R1 and L1 can *only* target enemies. This is useless for a healer. R1 and L1 should be using the same target filtering that we have active on the direction buttons.

And no, switching back to hold instead of toggle is not an option for me.

You would have to actually target the actual player, set up a filter that allows u to only target pc's.

Why can't u switch back to hold that makes healing on the PS3 controller so insanely easy. Well i guess if you just dont wanna hold it down u could try hybrid?

You missed what I said. Targeting filters aren't used by R1 and L1, they only target enemies. That's what I'm asking for, that R1 and L1 use the targeting filters.

I can't use hold because it causes my hand to cramp up. How would using hybrid help?
