Title not available: 'working as intended' - What am I missing?

If this is what your looking for, when you pull up your Character menu, on the profile tab, at the top on the left should be a drop down menu for you to select your title. It should have all the titles you've earned.

I'm well aware of that; currently I have "the Sword of Thanalan" set. The issue comes with "the Exterminator" not available on that list.

Don't you have to take to what's his face at Apkallu Falls in Gridania before getting any achievement rewards?

IIRC, you have to speak to Jonathas (the NPC you are referring to) in order to get items awarded with achievements, but titles on the other hand are issued directly and available as soon as you get the achievement.
Anyways, as I stated on my bug report, I spoke to Jonathas but to no avail...

I'm still confused...
