'Gliding' Issues for Melee Classes

Anyone else bothered by the fact that your character sort of 'glides' when you move while using melee skills?

Never had this issue in any of the previous MMO's I've played (Aion, WoW, and GW2) and for some reason it's bugging me a lot more than it should.

Archers don't 'glide' while using ranged skills - their feet are still moving and same goes for casters

But when you use any melee skill and move, it literally looks like you're bugging out.

It's probably not going to be changed any time soon (if ever) but anyone else bothered by this?

Same thing happens with WHM skills, especially Holy. You just get used to it.

right now it's sort of bearable cuz i can stand still for the most part (since i'm a tank :P) but i can just see it looking absolutely ridiculous in PVP where everyone is gliding around the arena

Yoshi-P has addressed this issue a few times, since beta testing, and has no means of "fixing" it. I don't really find an issue with it, honestly. You don't even really notice it unless you're just looking for it anyway.

Hell, most of the time I don't even see it any more even though I know I'm doing it.

Nah, it happens for others too. Just Holy has the biggest delay. I can float around for a good 5-10 seconds until the spell goes off.

I really hope you're just a terrible troll. If you're not though, how is it a benefit?(not that it's a disadvantage) Also, what does it have to do with "playing correctly"
