I've been wondering for a while now why the sell-back value for items is so low. Weps/armour that would cost a couple of thousand gil to buy from NPC's can be sold back to them for anything as low as 20-80 gil sometimes, and items that require lvl 50 BTN etc. sometimes only stretch to under 10 gil/ea. Can anyone shed some light on why this is? I hate to reference XI, but I seem to remember (vaguely) that you would get at least 25-30% of the purchase price back when you sold something to a NPC, and I can't help but wish that was the way it worked in XIV too. Seems the only way to go about selling thing in XIV is the AH and even that doesn't work for bound items.

Thanks in advance for any answers
