I'm not sure if anyone posted about this already, i'm a bit too lazy to look for it.
But, when housing comes out the impression they gave is that you're able to buy deeds to land, these deeds can be sold on a player market.
Sooooo...What's stopping people and RMT from trying to monopolize it and basically throwing the economy into a huge downwards spiral. People already sell Titan runs for 500k+ because of how desperate some get so what's going to be implemented to stop people from gaining control over the market that's trying to stabilize into something easily sustained and managed while keeping noobs and pros alike happy.

People can't buy them and put them on the market. That's not what was stated and that's not what they were referring to with the reverse market. Apparently I am wrong. You can trade the deed but no it still won't be viable for RMT to buy it/re-sell it. Why? There will be new instances when the old ones get filled up. Not to mention deeds go on the auction house. As no one buys them the deed price goes down. For RMT to profit they'd have to buy the land deed then try to re-sell it for higher but then it'd be more expensive than all the other plots available. It would really not be worth it.

Think the only housing area that'll be available is limsa... however I'm going wait for grid tho hopefully they give it that country feel and yesss I'm a tree lover leave me alone D:

Only that you can sell it. Not that you can sell it direct to other players.
I think you sell it back to the agent NPC and the NPC put it then back on the market for other to buy it again.
The seller would get less Gil then the buyer would pay (because the agent NPC would be from Ul'dah).

Me and other fellow lala friends have already started using the housing system regardless if its been truly released or not. We have taken to setting up house inside Vanya robes. The rent is free, rooms are spacious and if you find a galka you can even have guests over.

The houses tend to move around and sometimes teleport out which is sorta unreliable but doesnt stop us from relocating
