    One/more Guys Greed?

I have noticed as of late, that there is a lot of FC's and LS's that have a leader in them or maybe a few leader's. These leader's have caught my attention, not because they are good or bad, but because they are selfish and greedy to the point where they are practically (whiplashing) the player like a slave driver till they get what they want from the HM or Bahamut. After they get what they want, they can care less for what the player that helped them want's. I have seen a lot of this, and I will have to say that if you have an FC or LS and run it like this, I promise you it will fall apart quickly, and your FC will die out. Then, everyone will know you as the FC or LS that does not care.

What do you mean? Like leaders saying 'lets do one more garuda or you're getting kicked!' or is it like 'please pass for x player if y drops'?

I see. Haven't seen too much of this myself, I imagine that environment wouldn't last very long unless the 'leader' has a clique they run with.

Unfortunatly I see a lot of greed. I haven't been able to do HM's or anything of the sorts. But once every 3 dungeons I encounter 1 ass that needs cause he can. Heey, I don't need this, but since I can need it anyways i will win this item, so I take it regardless.

It's not can care less, it's couldn't care less. Sorry, pet peeve that phrase.

Anyway, I think you might have just had bad luck with your FC if I'm honest. I've been apart of two different FCs so far. The first was totally laid back and the leader just pretty much let us do whatever we wanted (was more like a linkshell than an FC to be honest.) The second, and one I'm part of now, is much more organised, but there are no signs of the behaviour you've described. In fact our higher levelled more experienced players actually help the lower levelled guys out more than they get help themselves; running the story dungeons with them etc.

So yeah, of course it happens, but I'd like to think it's not as common as you say it is.

On Midgard I hate to say it, but it is very common. It might not be common on your server, but be common on other's.

I dont know about the FC or LS leaders but just ppl in general are very greedy. I have done so much Titan HM runs for people that need the relic and everytime the Titan drop is the job they are playing they will NEED even so they are getting a relic.

I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.

I feel kinda bad now, because if that axe drops... lets just say I don't think I'll use relic too much if I ever get it. (either xD)

Sticking to the rules set by the game (for the most part) is the best way to do things. My FC generally stick with need if you can need it and greed if you can greed it. Courtesy is usually given to those who are greeding for a class they aren't on when there is no one else who needs it.

If your FC isn't letting you roll need on lots, that's one thing, but if you are just getting beaten on lots for a job you aren't on, then you just have to keep trying or ask your friends if they will let you greed something that you need if it drops. Do this before you enter the dungeon so they know ahead of time what gear you are after.

    Edit:

Also I have been known to "need" things on principal, when I know there is no one else there who can truly benefit from the item. A good example was Titan's axe, which dropped on my warrior Titan win. Did I need it? Yes.

But, I checked with the group before hand and there was no one who even played Warrior that didn't already have something better, and it was my first win after many failures so I felt like I deserved the souvenir. Ended up being a blessing, because it took me a while to get the tomes for my relic and in that time I ended up using it to help with many Garudas and Titans.

Another example is Garuda's talons which only dropped for me after I completed my Spharai +1. After 100s of Garuda wins. Same situation. No one needed it, so I took it on principle and in defiance of this game's sometimes brutal RNG.

I agree its completely selfish in dungeons for armor pieces since they probably already have AK / DL gear, if not better. But when it comes to Primals weapons i kinda understand it.
    Let me explain.

I have a Thyrus+1 on my WHM but if i run Titan again and WHM weapon drops ill need it for sure.
Not because im thinking "LELZ IM NEEDING JUST BECUZ I CAN AND YUS IM A D!CK".

    No.
    ill need because:
    1. Theyre iconic and rare ( Titan weapons at least ).
    2. I have Ifrit and Garuda WHM weapons and then ill have all of the Primals WHM weapons.
    3. For vanity slots, if it is extended to weapons aswell that is. But in doubt, ill just roll need.

People are probably needing on Primals weapons for the same reasons more than just to be a jerk.
