BSM & ARM are hardest crafting classes to lv50

    huff huff huff

that was crazy tiring and gil ripping off to get mats

as both BSM & ARM leves are solely either weapons , tools & gears

no single 40 durability item required in any leve i have tried

made them the hardest crafting classes to lv50

less allowances usage = more gil ripping off

more allowances usage ( longer time to lv50 ) = less gil ripping off

took me around 97 allowances to lv50 BSM & on my way to lv ARM now after i get my 100 allowances back

of course wasted about 230k gil to do so

I'm not sure I understand. I made about 2 million gil leveling up BSM to 50 and I also almost have ARM to 50 (it's at 40-something but took a little break from crafting). I didn't rely on leves to level them up though, so that's probably why I was making a nice profit along the way.

I make my own mats - no reason not too except for the odd GSM, ALC or LTW mat needed occasionally. Even then though, the finished HQ items usually sale at a nice profit and not a loss.

Do you concentrate on making HQ items as you level up (both for level turn-ins and sale)? I've found that makes the difference between leveling slowly and at a loss and leveling fast while profiting even if you have to invest in nice gear/materia along the way.

I don't have them at 50 but have both at 20~25, and there are 40-durability leves for both ARM and BSM. I think it was iron ingot and iron rivets. Then there's steel ingots as well, if I remember correctly.

In fact, now that I remember, the level 1 leves for both ARM and BSM want bronze ingot already. So obviously you're not looking carefully enough.

I dunno, you can gather most of the mats for those two easily. Right now Weaver 25-35 is pretty rough because of its reliance on Diremite Webs for Dew Thread which is often camped to hell and back. Not to mention I don't see it letting up with Fleece later.

Got BSM to 50 a few days ago, and ARM is now 42. There both VERY easy with, or without leves. Without leves, just turn ore to ingots until you hit the next tier of ingots. You can sell those ingots in small stacks and they'll sell slowely, but still net a profit.

If you want to use leves, do what I suggested above until you got a nice stack of Ingots, THEN make your leve items. Atm on my server, the ONLY expense is shards, which anyone can get with a Lv1 miner or bot.

Edit: I just wanted to add that the lv15 BSM skill Ingenuity is amazingly helpful for leveling. It reduces the recipe leve of your current synth to your level for 5 steps. Save it for the end of your combo when your trying to complete the progress bar. Doing this, you can finish Synths 7 levels higher than you for amazing XP with little effort.

The crafts that heavily rely on Miner/Botany ingredients are an absolute joke. I did GSM from 1-50 in 2 days and I didn't touch leves until the last few lvls since I didn't know about them yet.

Weaver and Leatherworker though are a pain. Leatherworker relies solely on drops and supply is rather low at times (and expensive), while Weaver also has to rely on diremite/fleece which gets rather expensive, but at least the supply is there.

GSM/CRP were by far the fastest to lvl, followed closely by BSM and I assume ARM, although I haven't touched that yet (but in the end it uses the same mats as BSM). ALC and CUL can be an absolute pain for some lvls depending on what crafts you got available and WVR/LTW are the most annoying crafts I'd say.

i have weaver lv50 too easy to lv50 i have 99 diremite webs due a lot of spamming totorak before

and yea i turn in all HQ its not hard to HQ any recipe even if its 5 levels higher

but the required mats needed for a recipe are pain in the ass costly

took me 4 days to level BSM from 1 - 50

as for LTW and ALC were the easiest so far to me 50k gil wasted to level a class to 50 unlike BSM 230k

They are pretty easy to level, 1 leve = 1 level (assuming 9 HQ's) so if you're going through 97 allowances then maybe level the other crafts to 15 so you can HQ the level turn in items for 200% XP bonus (and gil bonus). With a 200% bonus, if the leve gives you 10,000 XP you get 30,000XP, on a triple turn in that's 90,000XP. Later on when it hits 30k you're getting 270k XP per leve. Personally I dislike the 40/40 ones, much easier to HQ an 80/80 for the turn in bonus.
