Why should RMT's use the potion? Not gonna happen...That's a whole lot of PR spin. pre-SB there were only 500-600k ish active subs worldwide. And that "record subs" and 6m number you see flying around is more total accounts than active subscriptions. It did hit higher than expected dollar wise, but that also includes the cash shop which now includes jump potions which are an RMT dream so that brings that up too.
All in all its a lot of PR spin in that to make the game sound more successful than it is. I know there are tons of people who already unsubbed after seeing that SB is just going to be a copy/paste of HW content-wise. So I would love actual current numbers or even numbers in 30 days.
If the numbers where true they wouldn't throw a number out without actual log-in and payment statistics to back it up like other companies provide. All you hear are executives and PR chatter, which is always on high spin.
Yea, I do feel it is a little boring. Of course I love the game and have fun. My main gripe is after the story missions are cleared and most of the new stuff is not as shiny, I feel it become a very vertical, instance based MMO. I actually had more fun in FFXI grinding my life away to get the next piece of gear (which was reaallly important even at middle levels) or high enough level to get to the next part of the story.
Of course this isn't everyone and I just wish things were a little more horizontal to keep content fresher a little longer.
The game needs more open world content and party-based content. What's the point in creating a single-player MMO? 90% of this game is solo content outside of running instances. Why not have side quests that require parties? Make the open world more alive.
A and s rank hunts and treasure maps are party based open world activities of you haven't tried them
Things we need:
PvE, single player, both competitive and cooperative multiplayer, arena. Go as far as you can for prizes. Something without tunnels and corridors. We could reuse old bosses and things as well.
Gold saucer stuff. More mini games, things like Blitzball and rework Triple Triad a little(no card limit). Why cant we "bet" or wager with other players? What about the lack of rewards for mgp stuff? glamour is a one time thing. Give us exp buffs or something. let us trade mgp for gil?
Something to do at end game if youre casual. I dont raid so I have no reason to farm tomes except to do the few instances that will require a certain iLvl.. Its boring doing the same few dungeons each patch and pointless for me. Ive been forced to play other games until story gets update.. such a waste of sub money if you ask me.. KEEP US HERE.
I actually like hunts, but i feel like we need a deeper system with them. Something more like ffxii or monster hunter would be cool. (use berries to weaken certain monsters, and actually hunt when you feel like it, not daily, S ranks are fine I guess)
I had the idea that we could do single player dungeons and trials while hiring a team of npcs. If you completely certain sections of the story, such as the job quest lines up to 60, then you could get npcs like the job trainers to join your party. Something like a relationship system. Of course scions from main scenario and we should be allowed to use past characters if you want. Such as fallen characters..*cough* shield, elezen *cough*
So basically I could play DRG while Yshtola healed me and lyse could be my monk, etc. It would be cool if I could take my wife with me too though. 1-7 players + 1-7 npcs

I think that's a terrible idea. We don't wanna make this MORE of a single-player MMO than it already is.I had the idea that we could do single player dungeons and trials while hiring a team of npcs. Group activities should be promoted as much as possible, for sure. Our GC squadrons will be a "party" for dungeons supposedly though nobody knows when, but I think it's still being debated.
I just think it's a shame that we have a vast beautiful world that just seems dead because of a lack of things to do in it. Back in 2.0 I remember seeing people all over the place. Like every FATE was filled with people and the world felt alive. There just doesn't seem to be much reason to do them anymore and there's not much else. Now I just see most people sitting around the major cities waiting for queues to pop lol
