I have some new perspective on the actual topic of this thread after having (and currently) played ESO while my sub for this game had run out. I actually think FFXIV is very fun, I think it is the best MMORPG out on the market currently despite all it's flaws. The only time I ever stop playing it regularly is when I run out of content to do. I usually don't want to just stop playing - not like with ESO. I play ESO, stop playing one day and I won't have the urge to EVER go back to play that game. I can't even explain why, but when I stop playing this game. I think about it, I lurk the forums, I read the updates, and I just think about how "I can't wait for the next big content patch!". I just wish SE gave this game the attention, and resources it deserves. If I complain about the game, it is because I want to see the game improve, not from a straight dislike of the game.

I understand that Yoshida is content in the fact that this is a more "casual" game, as in most of the audience takes breaks between patches. I wish he wouldn't have this stance, I wish we got content all year round to keep us playing the game. For me, not crafting, crafting is boring.
