IS it just me... or is FFXIV boring?

I personally don't find this game boring one bit. I came from low tier MMO's so for me it's just amazing. I mean take into consideration for you that this game is a Greenhorn and will definitely improve as time goes on.
Most of the players that I've encountered and said things were getting boring was because I see that they rushed almost everything just so they don't have to bother with it later on in the game.

"Just take your time with things and don't rush." - is what I would tell you...

Every MMO that is on it's early content is boring. So suck it up.

City of Heroes was fun at Level 1. Lord of the Rings Online is a pulse pounder the first 20 levels if you're doing an Undying run. Wakfu is engaging from the start. Ryzom's living world kept me in awe for the entirely of the starter zone. So I can't say I agree that the above is how it has to be.

It's predictable, to ask a question, and mostly get a "you don't like it, gtfo" response. Although I do thank the few bits of constructive advice - I will look into the summoner class.

I had to individually click through each creation, I couldn't just say "create number X of said item;" which, might be something I am missing, and I'm open to the help. It was extremely tedious, and took me away from actually doing something in the world.

Did you know there is a "Quick Synthesis" where you can choose the quantity of item that you want to craft and then your character just goes auto-nuts on it. You get less exp per item but you can literally hit the auto craft for a stack of 99 and walk away from the computer. I've gotten many levels this way.

Quick synthesis is useful, but less so if you haven't leveled enough crafting classes to bypass the trickiness that you can run into when trying to HQ a finished product from NQ materials.

My age? You are quite humorous, I'm glad that you received some of the answers you were looking for but I took exception to how you initially asked is all. Declaring a game many of us love "murderously boring" does not send out the best message. I'd be more than happy to answer any and all questions you have about the game if it will improve your experience.

LOL the only goal in the game besides getting coil geared is to make money from crafting. Relics and gear are kind of a joke at the moment.
