Mah bad... I count 16 on my DF which doesn't include coil. Now I'm just trying to think of another game I've played that had 16 dungeons at release.
I'm glad that's all you got out of the post. I'm assuming you found that boring as well.

But at the end of the day the whole game boils down to nothing more than endless AK/WP runs.
It's not the players. Square launched the game without casual raids or PvP. After 3 months of course people are burning out when the end game is nothing but the same grind.
No one's denying there are a lot of good ideas in the game. But it all falls apart at the end. The end game is just a narrow path of spamming 2 dungeons to run primals and then the impossible raid for hard core players only. There's nothing else.
have whm blm gsm min to 50 have 4 other jobs over 25 and bsm to 42 since launch its not from lack of trying other stuff in the game or rushing to 50 the game is soooolacking in even low level content after the first job that you either fate or grind (DoH & DoL) to level up the lack of post first pass quests is seriously retarded.
The combat is just another WoW/Rift/LOTRO job, which is pretty stale these days, which is then made worse by the fact it is slow paced, lacks depth / complexity and there is zero build diversity.
The OP claims the FATE system is a great asset, how? Lots of games have dynamic events, Warhammer (who I think were first), Rift, GW2, etc, and guess what other games do it better, e.g - the Zone invasion/ world events in Rift offer more complexity with points you have to defend, whilst having multiple points to simultaneously assault, etc, which adds a bit of teamwork, reduces zerging, etc.
The dungeons are pretty unmemorable, and it is the same old tank and spank with gimmicky "simon says" boss mechanics on the side to try and make up for a lack of decent AI and outdated combat system, that we've seen in numerous other WoW like MMOs for the last decade.
It basically offers nothing new and does some major things worse, so of course it is boring.
Agree, lack of stuff to do.
Not going to subscribe until 2.1 patch which is who knows when.
Think of it as a $35 rpg game!

I gotta admit, I am struggling to find a reason to login <.<
Not for any major reason, its just dead quiet during my timezone.
Only really login to level my chocobo.
Hey all,
I'm not writing this to troll, or to flame spray, but rather I am trying to see if what I am feeling about this game is what is also what is felt by the community at large.
Yes, the graphics are nice, and I like the idea that you can play any class from a single character - one of the points that drew me to the game in the first place. I also like how many of the dungeons are relatively short, there is rather minimal trash, and the boss fights can be fun and interesting some of the time. Perhaps one of the game's greatest assets is the FATE system, which was inspired by another MMO.
However, I find the game to be murderously boring.
Um...It's just you...
A server change might help, if you can find a group that play at your time of course....
I just have a few problems with this game
1) in game built lag, this is just killing the fun for me
2)summoner is not what I was hoping for, nothing wrong with the job is just not a SMN
3)WAR and BLM,my other favored jobs are not that much fun ( I would like to know why they got rid of WAR dps stance and AoE,self healing gameplay and fire spam for a FF BLM is just wrong )
4) where are the dungeons, the only thing I found in this game are long corridors with mobs in it
5) Fates, I was honestly expecting something Like Campaing ( you know with mobs having tons of HP and maybe with a mini boss, something where even if you are 50 you can still die)
like alway this is just personal opinion
I'd really love if people would stop using WoW as an example for Endgame content at release.
1. It did not have more to do endgame than this game offers.
2. The endgame content (Molten Core Onyxia) was not playable until 2+ month after release because of server problems.
@Keyblade you asked who and why finds this game fun.
At least for me I have some great friends playing this game with me and I met some cool people online. Which boosts the enjoyment for me personally.
Other than that I enjoy leveling different classes (did the same thing in FFXI). (Only crafts I can't get really into but that was the case in almost every mmo)
Besides that I love what they did with the dungeons (not talking about grinding/speedrunning the endgame dungeons over and over) but in general.
As of right now I really enjoy the base they build for themselves to add upon. And that is what every MMO does at start. You lay the framework before going hardcore into detail.(content)
I played alot of mmos over the years and no game besides FFXI managed to hold me for more than a year. Only MMO I came back to from time to time was WoW. But just because I was curious what the addons brought to the table.
And this game just seems to click with me at the moment. Might this change within a month or two maybe. But right now I'm having a blast.
Is this game without problems? Of course not. What mmo ever is? Could they have handled things better. Yep. Personally I think you level way too fast in this game and fates kinda ruin the experience.
The dungeon grind at the end is silly but if you're doing it with friends I don't mind it that much. What I do like is that we pay for DL with 1 currency so we can play any class we want and equip another. Love the flexibility it gives you.
And there are some more things which are annoying but I still enjoy the groundworks they did and I'm quite excited to see what this game will become. And again I'm not saying whatever they will implement will be golden and awesome. There is a good chance this game will go downhill from here on. But given their track record with FFXI my hopes are still high.
All in all I don't know if this is a valid explanation because having fun is subjective and not always rational. So right now I'm not bored but I can understand why some people are.

Except that wasn't the only top end content. Back at launch, Scholomance, Stratholme, and UBRS/LBRS were all technically raids. Scholo, Strat, and LBRS being 10 players, and UBRS 15.
So yes, it had a ton more to do at launch than FFXIV currently does.
