Uh oh, now we're getting somewhere. You said you believe her because you saw how she did her rotation, and compared it to the other rotation? What a novel idea?! I don't know why someone who is trying to say her rotation is better didn't think to compare it to another!

Funny, I don't see anyone that's saying Longnu's rotation is crap doing this either. Blah blah burden of proof. If his/her rotation is actually better and s/he's satisfied with it, why waste time trying to get other on his/her level if they're just going to ridicule from the start?

Just to provide the same kind of "evidence" that LongNu likes to throw at us, here's some random parse of some random guy found in a random thread using the cookie cutter rotation. Circumstances of this parse are of course totally random and more details will NOT be provided. Just know that the numbers are like 60-100 DPS higher than LongNu's "evidence", so obviously his/her rotation does not yield MAX DPS, as numbers (especially from faulty parsers) never lie and cannot be shaped up in any form to benefit whatever argument you're trying to make:



Applying your own logic it's now up to you to provide further evidence of your rotation actually being better. Keep on trolling.

Oh, um, well I don't play dragoon, so I figured might as well try whatever rotation people are pushing.

I mean thats the whole point of the sim, to see which rotations do better.

The parser does not lie. It's impossible TO lie. It's a mathematical calculation based on the data your client saves...

YOU can parse badly. YOU can do a MASSIVE amount of damage on trash...That doesn't mean it's wrong.

Last night, during coil otw to turn 1...I pulled over 700 on trash...Why? I crit practically every single hit of my rotation. Likely? Maybe a .05% chance of it EVER happening but, it did...Does that make that information wrong? No...It makes it an anomaly. That happens.

Do 100 parses lasting 5-10mins on a dummy...That's DATA. That's what you need to provide as "evidence" -- That's why stats exist.

We parse data because when combined it gives more data...Without parses and the "evidence" this thread is useless.

The opinion of "Oh, i just proved it to myself" doesn't work in the court of public opinion...You know because some people still "prove" to themselves that the earth is flat, every day.

First of all I want to apologize for bringing this failthread back to the top, but just want to mention that Longnu and his FC defense force tried to do this same crap in the awesome Rotation Reborn thread of claiming ridiculous DPS numbers. I later found out by checking out his youtube page he links in his sig that they came from Castrum Meridum bosses after doing limit break, in a full geared party that kills bosses before burst phase is over (lol yeah) which would be okay if he mentioned the context, but didn't when he presented it and tried to pass it off as if those numbers meant anything in a real fight.

But worse than that is when he and his FC defense force started insulting anyone who brought up legitimate questions to his claims, kinda like in here. I can link to the specific posts but Square has a policy of no "shaming" (but apparently outright lying + insulting people is okay!), but if you guys really want to know, it's in the Rotation Reborn thread. Anyway, my point is, he's done this crap before so just ignore him. He's a bad player with a terrible rotation (Leg Sweep into Blood for Blood back to back, really!?) that thinks he's leet and gets angry when people don't acknowledge him.

I wish he was a troll, for his own sake, but check out his post history, on his server forums. Bunch of posts trying to stroke epeen (claiming server firsts, creating "elite" linkshell, etc). Usually the most arrogant players tend to be the most mediocre in actual skill.
