I preferred FFXI's collision detection. Sure you got stopped by things, but if you kept pushing for a second or two, you could walk through them.

I don't see why this approach wasn't used in FFXIV. Its really the best of both worlds.
I thought FFXI had this, but I haven't played in forever so I wasn't sure. I certainly wouldn't mind this on the mobs if we're able to push through. I've just had enough with Black Shroud paths and having to swerve around every mob that's moving forward and straight in front of me.
