People in MMOs run into each other all the time. It's a videogame, not real life.
I can only imagine that would seriously get in the way of game play. The game would become a giant shove fest. What benefit could that possibly have that wouldn't be tremendously outweighed by everyone just getting in the way of each other?
I appreciate your input, your ideas are nice and interesting, but the effect they would have on the overall game won't make much of an impact, especially for the amount of effort required to implement them. Making the bird animations more realistic? Crawling along ropes? More ambient sound effects? All nice concepts, but the game needs big fundamental Final Fantasy style changes and improvements. Otherwise, it just seems like nitpicking every little flaw to get people to get mad at Square and abandon the game.
People shouldn't run into each other though. It's pretty rude.People in MMOs run into each other all the time. It's a videogame, not real life.

And this isn't just a game, it's also a world. So convenience of gameplay isn't always the most important consideration.

That's not really the point I was trying to communicate. Instead of focusing on minor aspects of the atmosphere of the game, right now the focus should be on the biggest aspects of the gameplay including long term goals, the battle system, accurate risk vs reward systems and other parts of the game that we're going to spend a long time actually working on.

Why do all these people come on to Vesperia's threads and laugh and point? Aren't you becoming the so called troll that you are calling him? Grow up people and contribute to the actual thread.
I like when we had mob behaviors like when the nanny's would follow you. Battle would actually be a little harder for once when you couldn't spam AoE all the time. The collision detection was only a problem in the market wards, that's about it.

Doesn't pretty much all other MMO's have character collision to some extent? Did anyone even complain about collision? I thought it was a weird thing to remove to begin with.
Funny that they can readily delete collision-detection (despite it adding realism) and yet somehow decide to not delete the hideous aberrations of avian-kind that are the birds in this game.
People complained about it. People complained about everything and will continue to complain about everything.
People complained that they were getting "Stuck" on Mobs and that the "Curious" AI was infinitly annoying and had issues when trying to combat foes.
You can't do much as a marauder if 8 goats are sitting behind you for no good reason.
Personally I want collision detection back, it's not a big deal either way. the AI? Well it wasn't amazing in the first place as far as the 3 behavior patterns went.
Curious - Follow nearest NPC upon sight
Nuetral - Take no action (If agressive attack)
Shy - Flee at sight of NPC upon sight
Now the mobs still have some nice functions programmed in such as Efts, Funguars and a few other quirks some mobs have. But as far as pathing AI goes they have all been switched to nuetral.

As far as monster behaviour goes, they could have modified it a bit to make it work better. But, as usual, they chose the easy way out.
