What's the best gear setup for Miner?

Morning everyone, I am just curious as to what is the best gear you can have at this point in the game for a level 50 Miner.

In 1.0 I had the best of the best with materia etc...but seems to not be the case in 2.0. I have the Pickaxe from completing the Miner storyline but after that my gear seems crap now. I have like 220 Gathering and 220 Perception when I know you can get 300+ now.

Anyhow, please help by puting the best gear possible at this point and what materia (if the gear allows it) you put/would put into it. Thanks!

(I also tried searching for a similar thread but was coming up empty handed and was too lazy to keep trying )

Umm .. HQ gear, obviously. Check the thread on Materia Meld Caps for Disciples of the Land, for information on what you can actually put into the gear, stat-wise ... and then just do the work yourself for figuring out what to meld where, and what order. Its not rocket surgery.

i have almost eveything at max , with STR build, MND is for secondary mining i cannot spend that much money for both build ( i have also bota DEX build around the same as my miner)

stats are :

603 GP
243 STR
369 gathering
379 perception

u can go a little higher cause, you can add big materia on body and offtool

And I wasn't asking for stat caps. I asked for the gear people use in each slot and what materia they use/recommend in the pieces if they allow it.

To save money, i capped both Gathering and Perception using Tier I-II Materia most of the times. I'm 20 GP off (only 600 instead of 620).

There is a guide somewhere on the forum that tells you how to cap everything including GP, but it will be fair expensive since you'll be forced to use Tier IV Materia.

what exactly does "str" increase while gathering? or is it just to get one of the node benefits?

For what i know, only the extra node yes

i didnt do any testing if it affect something else XD

You do not need to worry about other stats (aside from the base Perception, Gathering, and GP) once you hit 50.

Best gear? Always whatever the highest level gear you can wear, HQ'd. Except for Luminary tool, always.

The only real worry after that is the i55 gear, how you meld material to it. And I pointed out where to do that.

I was not trolling, I was answering the questions you needed answered, and telling you to figure out the easier stuff yourself. If you don't like that, tough. As I said, its not rocket surgery.
