Yeah, it sucks how they reuse the icons. Would be better if each egi had its own icon.

I really want my carbuncles back, one of the issues is that even if the carbies were as good as the egis, you have to giveup using your SMN relic to be an ACN.
The base classes become worthless and cant use job specific gear, pretty terrible and unflexible class+job design.
Base classes are not viable for anything beyond dungeon farming and the freedom of choice in cross class skills is an illusion.

They're not even viable for that. Base classes are completely gimped as opposed to the jobs. Once you get your job you shouldn't be using the base class at all.

Minions had more Priority over actual game mechanics, obviously.
