SE, Please slow down on swinging the NERF bat!

I'm really disappointed Twintania has already been nerfed, I'm sure many others are as well. I'd rather wipe 1000 times and finally beat something rather than only beating it once it's been made easier.

Now that it's been nerfed, nobody else has the chance to say they can do it too.

I pretty much agree with this thread 100%. The nerf just kinda devalues any kill now, I want the masses to congratulate and be happy for the few elite guilds that can complete the content due to its unforgiving mechanics. Now every guild that posts they killed her I'm just like meh, cool story but what about before?

Oh well. People cry tears all day, all year long about difficulities which is why this game is bogged down to Jesus hell in easy or semi-easiness.
Titan's prolly easy too if it weren't for Russian Roulette lag of doomsday.

I think it boils down to a matter of pride and glory. One group got through it before the change, and now that it's been nerfed, nobody else can prove they can be that awesome too.
The sense of accomplishment from finishing it now is nothing compared to what the first group that beat it felt. Would you rather fight for and earn a victory, or have it handed to you on a plate?

Didn't they buff Firestorm as well to stop people taking advantage of it as much.

They have admitted that Coil and Twintania were their first attempts at a raid/final raid boss in FFXIV:ARR, so tuning things up and down is their way of getting an idea for future content. The top-end FCs are guinea pigs in this respect. I sympathize with those people who were working on her only to now have their successes 'discounted' because of a nerf. It would have been nice of SE to announce their intentions of this earlier to give more chances before the change. And hope that future content will be implemented in a more controlled and balanced way so the 'glory' isn't raised/lowered so quickly.

It was previously thought to be impossible until BG did it, now people are bawwing because they found it it wasn't impossible they just couldn't hack it. Now that it's been nerfed they are afraid that the ominous shadow of BG will loom overhead until some new content comes out. Personally I haven't gotten much into coil but the threads on the matter are delicious to read sometimes.
