There's a strange problem with the culinary world and food use.
You see food used to be kind of a big deal, but these days it seems like it's only used in coil regularly.
Here's a few reasons why:
Crafting top end foods requires a large amount of shards, making crafters generally sell foods at higher prices for very little profits.
Players don't consume as much because the price is too high for the reward.
When you DF you might wipe on the first pull so why waste the food right?
There's a lot of reasons players don't use foods as regularly as we are used to seeing?
