Question regarding the difference between bugs and systems limitations or suggestions

Without any clear direction as to where I should file the matter, I posted in the bug reports forum an experience several hundred players or more of us are having regarding our linkshells capped at a limit of 128

A moderator responded stating that he needed more information to validate the bug.

This is confusing to me, because every item of information request is extraneous and has absolutely nothing to do with the "bug".

And so now I am concerned that I reported it in the wrong section, am approaching it from the wrong direction, and in general I have gone from confident that the development team would understand and help, to completely hopeless and I am thinking that once I go through filling out all the paperwork it will get rejected as not even a bug.

What should I do?

Welcome to SE's way of managing tickets. They have to have specific information in order to actually generate a ticket, basically the same hoops you jump through to provide feedback at the portal. Since you posted it in a section monitored by guys who enter tickets, their hands are likely tied because of their procedural requirements to do so.

If you can't re-post it under the General section because of the forums screwy posting restrictions, you could try submitting it in your own ticket as feedback/suggestions at the support portal. Those two options will probably give you a better shot at someone higher up the chain seeing your idea than putting it here, as this is intended to be a user to user forum for resolving issues.
