    Surecast -Why does it Suck??

    So why is Surecast such a garbage ability? I feel like this ability needs to be tweeked so it actually works. Surecast is supposed to let you cast your next spell without interruption. But what it actually does - Occasionally lets you cast without interruption under really specific circumstances. Instead of sure cast I just use a swiftcast which is a much easier option, I try and use surecast frequently but 80% of the time I get interrupted anyway. The ability needs to actually perform its function to to fullest extent if that means add a longer cooldown for it, im ok with that but right now it sucks.

    What would be great is if this ability allowed us to cast while moving for xx.xx amount of time. I believe there were spells back in 1.0 that you could cast while moving. Why not have this cross-class ability be worth something.

    As of right now, I don't even keep it on my action bars.

    To my understanding the reason it doesn't always work is the animation (similar to when sometimes Swiftcast doesn't actually go off). The buff is applied after a short delay (due to both latency & the animation), as it isn't truly applied until the animation is completed.

    This means that if you immediately begin casting a spell during the animation of surecast - the spell is not actually under the effect of Surecast, which would indicate that the skill does not function correctly.

    So to alleviate this issue, you have to wait until you see the Surecast buff on your status bar before casting. It works for things such as primal astral flows, which very frequently interrupt, you just need to give it a second to show its flashy lights..

    Why skills like this (Hallowed Ground is probably the biggest problem at the moment) do not apply the buff at the start of the animation is completely beyond me..

    When you move while casting the cast bar says "Interrupted"
    When paralyze stops your cast, the cast bar says "Interrupted"
    Surecast - "Next spell is cast without interruption"

    the hell?

    In MMOs being "interrupted" usually refers to a cast being interrupted by taking damage. In your scenarios moving your character during the cast means you purposefully cancel the cast (instead it interrupting it; the skill doesn't read "allows you next spell to be casted while moving"), getting mezzed (paralyzed in this case) also doesn't meet the definition of an interrupt, as your cast is just aborted because ... well ... paralyzed/mezzed guys don't really cast that much. Maybe the wording should be changed to "Next spell cannot be interrupted by damage" to be more clear about its functionality.
