    Need for Archer Animation Revamp

    Ok So, before Beta 2 the archer animations were awesome. Fluid and looked nice. People started complaining about how when you move like run at the same time you use the actions it causes them to do an ugly slide. Which I have seen no GOOD LOOKING alternative to those animations. Because all they did was turn off the leg part of the animations for actions. Which if you look closely they just standthere, no character, no change, just default leg position when in combat stance. Its Ugly.

    Before things like Straight shot would do some cool crouching stuff the first half of the animation. They turned off the leg part, now the arms do some weird unnatural looking recoil flailing.

    When you shoot a bow, you do use some leg strength for balance. And basically the upper body is the only part of the animations that are animating!! Please do something about it! What we have no makes me not want to play archer at all.

    You ever done Archery? You plant your feet in a solid stance, and you do not shuffle around while trying to take your shot.
    So there isn't really a lot they can do with it. If the include the legs in weird animations to go alog with the top half, you get the weird sliding around again.

    It's kinda hilarious when i get knocked back right as i launch a Dragon Kick or Demolish. just keep doing the animation in its entirety while sliding backwards/forwards, lol.

    Its a game. I think they can cut some of the realism out to make things look a bit nicer for archers. I agree with the OP. And also all the melee classes have to deal with the slide effect during combat animations too.

    All they should do is make archers keep facing their targets while moving and charging an attack, it looks ridiculous when you fire somewheher else and you still hit.

    In beta was a river of tears because archer had too much sliding, and they fixed separating lower body animation from upper part. Now animations are bad ? bohoooo.You got what people wanted.

    Except Melee Combat in general relies a lot on footwork to look even half as good as it does. The Archer not so much. *all* of the animations for the Archer involve drawing the bow. And theres only really one way to do that. What exactly do you want your feet to do during animations anyway? It's going to make Archers look awfully silly to be dancing around like a Monk does while trying to draw a bow.

    It looked fine in 1.x.

    I know the perfect Bard fix! Make it like FFXI. Stay still or you no do damage! That way the animations can be nice and realistic and bards aren't so OP since they wouldn't be able to move while shooting! Problem solved~
