Injured Player Seeking Understanding Freecompany

I'm a 1.0 character with lots of levels but...

Long story short I had a nasty head injury a couple years ago which has left me addled. I've made a good recovery but I still can't quite do things like I used to. I've enjoyed MMOs for years, but I just can't learn a job by reading or watching someone else do it anymore. I need to play it and with everything changing from 1.0 I don't know how any of the classes I leveled work anymore.

I've been trying to learn through Duty finder...but, aside from a couple wonderful parties, I keep getting impatient people who either drop when I tell them I don't know what I'm doing, drop the instant I make a mistake that wipes us, or just plain leave me at the entrance in the best case.

I'm looking for a free company actually willing to help me relearn how to play and teach me some proper endgame. I can't promise I'll ever be able to do a good job but I want to at least try before giving up a genre I've been playing since grade school.

Are you against starting a new character to pick up the mechanics? If that's a no go, you can try getting used to things more slowly by signing up for parties in lower level dungeons. Start at the bottom with Sastasha and work your way up to the next as you get comfortable with the tools you have at that level you're synched to.

Ideally you'd find an understanding FC, but since I don't see anyone stepping up just yet and you're on another server all I can do for you is try to offer a (maybe) helpful suggestion or two that'll bump your thread before it falls into oblivion.

I had considered that. Probably the best solution for now, but I'd still need an understanding Free Company at endgame.
