Perhaps this is an intentional design decision and the lore of the power of the zoomed out camera will be explored in future content patches. I think it is fair to speculate that defeating Zodiark will involve all players having their cameras at max zoom.

I can see that on a patch message, "Player will no longer be able to zoom out their camera on Zodiark on phase 3."
It's ok because Square Enix is my favorite company and Final Fantasy is my favorite franchise, were it another game by another company experiencing the exact same issues I would be criticizing it at every chance I can get, but I like defending my favorite things no matter how bad they are. Oh and did I forget to say I don't experience any of these issues? Because surely my personal experience applies to everyone without question despite multiple reports proving otherwise.
If I see TITAN landslide I run into it .
Some weird Land Slide observations
1. LS appears near you. run into it and stand around dancing in it , don't get hit
2. LS appears near you, run into it and back out , YOU GET HIT.
4. LS appears on top of you , don't quickly run out ... YOU GET HIT
So it appears that the game doesn't process indecision well .
Other crappy things , is . when tanking some bosses I found it was better to run through the boss and back again to avoid frontal AOE ,
trying to avoid some frontal AOE was almost a nightmare unless I was already moving , or standing in side hit box so I could move through boss .
I would predict when AOE would appear and be already moving , circle or whatever would drop next to me instead of ontop of me making easy to avoid .
Using stun or silence can be a problem too due to animation / lag etc .
Game just really doesn't feel like we are in control of our character , especially with 2.5s GCD , feel like im always waiting to make an action .
EQ felt like it had better character control , and we played that using dial up modem .

What it really feels like is that hits are already decided the moment the red area fades. You could move 20 meters away between then and when the attack lands and it will still hit you. The game really should be doing the check as the attack lands since most of the time the attack animation can take upwards to 2 seconds before finally landing.
I have tons of lag spikes myself on ps3... Sometimes my party members even get stuck in one spot the entire run when I lag so much... Basically, +1.
Yes, let's blame SE for lag. You lagged out and I didn't. Must be the servers fault. Clearly. When it affects one, not both of us, it is most certainly the server.
No. When you lag out, that is on you. Whether it be a low-end machine running the game (or ps3) or a problem with your ISP, it does not make that SE's fault. Let's face it, nobody is going to have perfect latency 100% of the time. If you lag out, don't blame the servers unless everyone lags out. If you didn't actually lag and just didn't make it out in time, shame on you for making excuses.
Your being a bit harsh and I disagree with you. Let me explain. On AK. The Push Back animation fires off Demon wall .. I see 3 people get knocked back yet I'm still hacking on the Wall.. So i continue and then 5 seconds later while everyone else has reset and moved to the left to dodge the purple floor.. WHOOSH. I get Push Back animation on my character.. well guess what... I'm off center now and yeah.. trying not to fall of the edge. So. this happens 1 out of every 5 AK runs i have. Why ? I think its the Random Servers they use for INSTANCE, not My ISP.No.
